Academic Plan

My academic plans are very important to me. I plan on going onto another college after getting my Associate in General Studies Degree here at Butler. My purpose for going to college was so I could get a good paying job later on in life. I want to be an Anesthesiologist, or a Nurse Anesthetist. To become an Anesthesiologist you have to get one of the following degrees: Masters degree, Doctorate degree or a Professional degree, but to become a Nurse Anesthetist you can get a 4 year degree which is a Bachelor’s degree or you can go on and get your Masters, Doctorate or Professional degree.
I am planning on transferring to Newman University to get my Bachelor’s degree after I get my Associate in General Studies degree here at Butler. I haven’t actually decided where I want to go after that there are only a few choices here in Kansas where I can go to get a Professional degree (Law, Medicine, etc…). The Universities that you can get a professional degree at here in Kansas are the following: Washburn University, Kansas University, or Kansas State University. As I said there weren’t many too choose from.
I believe that I chose the career that I want to pursue because of the many different types of experiences that I have had the opportunity to be around. I myself have had quite a few different surgeries. For instance my last one was during my sophomore year in high school. I had to have hernia surgery; this was due to having and umbilical hernia. Some other experiences that I have been able to experience were when my grandmother got bit by a rattlesnake out at her house in the country. They no longer give the anti-venom to the patient because it could kill them. My grandmother was the first patient here at Susan B. Allen that had been bitten by a rattle-snake. She was one out of like five that got bit that summer.
